Movable Beasts was set up in 2019 by Chief Bug Wrangler, Gary Durkin to share his lifelong interest in bugs and minibeasts with children and adults alike.

Gary keeps a number of species of invertebrates as pets and uses them to educate and entertain children and adults by introducing them to the fascinating world of bugs and minibeasts.

​

As a child Gary could often be found outdoors, looking under rocks, stones and logs to see how many different creatures he could find, and if he wasn't trying to find them, he was learning about them in books and on TV shows!

​

Now an adult with three children of his own, not much has changed. Gary still can't resist turning over stones to look for bugs and minibeasts and now he has three  enthusiastic little helpers to join him!
